Giraffes

Ever seen a giraffe run? It was something spectacular, as if they were moving slow motion. As Karen Blixen put it:

Giraffes are fairytale animals, almost heraldic as if from the land of fables. They have extremely beautiful faces, huge eyes, very sensitive nostrils and oh, blue tongues! (Karen Blixen: Out of Africa)

Hyenas

For some reason, it was difficult to find inspiring quotes about hyenas. They may not be as well-liked as giraffes, but I find them interesting nevertheless:

1. They are feminists in a sense that they live in matriarchal clans and are led by alpha females.
2. They are determined and eat even bones if they have to (or want).
3. They make funny laughing sounds.
